*The Ritz* Creamed Corn Recipe

I had this at church last week and it was so delicious. The friend who made it, used to work as a server at The Ritz Carlton and she brought a recipe card for every one in our group. I thought I'd put it on my blog for back up and to share with y'all!

Ingredients:
2 (20 oz) packages of frozen kernel corn
8 oz. (1/2 pint) whipping cream
8 oz. whole milk
1 tsp. salt
6 tsp. sugar
pinch of white pepper
2 Tbsp. melted butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients (except butter & flour) into a pot and bring to boil for 5 mins.
2. Add flour and butter.
3. Pour into baking dish, sprinle with parmesan cheese.
4. Broil until brown.

  1. This may seem petty, but this recipe is from The Ritz located in Newport Beach, CA, NOT the Ritz Carlton, located in Laguna Niguel/Dana Point. The Ritz closed a couple years ago, but this was their long-standing recipe.

    1. Not petty at all. I used to work at The Ritz in Newport Beach and that place has a special place in my heart. The best creamed corn ever!

  3. I have (had) the Ritz of Newpot Beach recipe. Yes it was from many years ago, mid 80's I think. I had it in the side pocket of my purse to shop for ingredients after errands snd its missing. Just sick about it it's so good.

  4. Such a tragedy the Ritz is gone. I could have sworn the creamed corn had a cinnamon taste to it, yet the recipe has no cinnamon. Maybe the cheese adds that flavor?
